Landscape

The communities of Mossley and Saddleworth provide great walking territory including ancient roman roads and small paths or 'Pack horse tracks' leading to some of the most unique scenery in the North of England. Most of my childhood was spent exploring Mossley and the surrounding Saddleworth moors , a place of strong traditions which continue to be cherished and preserved by the locals.

 My paintings have been heavily influenced by these childhood memories, incorporating a naive and often reminiscent quallity.
