DEC...Chris is chosen to show work at an exciting new art gallery in Poynton, Cheshire. Colourfield Gallery specialises in Northern Art.

OCT...Chris is now being represented by County Galleries, Altricham, Cheshire. Chris is honoured to be selected alongside some of the UK's finest artists such as Geoffrey Key and Peter Stanaway.

MAY...Chris now has work in leading UK art gallery located in Bath. Red Rag gallery.

MARCH. Chris exhibits new allotment paintings at NEW exciting show, 'the edible garden show' is at Stoneligh pk, Warwick 18th - 20th March.

2010...

SEPT. Chris is now being represented by Ascot Studios, art gallery in Ribchester.

AUGUST. Chris has been requested by a NEW gallery in Londons Knightsbridge, to be opened in Oct.

JULY. Chris embarks on NEW project entitled 'Vessels of Joy' a collection of paintings that feature old abandoned caravans.

JUNE. There are some success's in the Print room, there are also some disasters!

MARCH. BBC Inside out/Northwest has made a documentry about old Cotton Mills in Manchester. They visited Woodend Mill in Feb to film. It airs on the 8th March BBC1 7.30pm.

MARCH. Chris is well into his Northern Lights project and has decided to make only 40 of this series for 2010. After the ART MARCH open studios at the end of the month, Chris is set to start a new body of work in the medium of Lino Printing and plans to spend all summer mastering this art. 'It needs to be warm to cut the blocks'

FEB. Chris continues his Northern Lights series into number 30. They have been selling well all over the UK and even Germany wich suprises Chris as he thought they would only connect with locals.

2009....

NOV. Chris has made a £200 donation to Children in need. £10 from every print of 'Joe's plot' is going to the charity. Thank you to all those who purchased the print.

OCT. Chris's NEW series of allotment paintings 'Sanctuary' will be featured at Grand Design show, NEC Birmingham, 9th - 11th Oct.

OCT. Chris's allotment is featured in this months issue of Gardeners World magazine.

SEPT. Chris raised £2500 for the NEW Radio therapy centre at the Royal Oldham Hospital, with his painting of the garden that featured at this years Tatton Flower Show.

AUG/SEPT. Chris's work will be featured in Country Living magazine and Gardeners World magazine!
Chris hopes to spend the summer finishing his new print room where he will explore his allotment series further through different mediums, starting with Lino cut prints.

JULY. Chris has been challenged by The Christie hospital to document the building of their show garden at Tatton flower show in July. This is the new garden proposed for the new radio therapy centre at the Royal Oldham hospital near where Chris lives. Chris will be at the show to talk to people about his work and about the appeal for Mens Cancers.

JULY. The Manchester Evening News are running a special feature about Chris and his new arrival, Drew, for Fathers Day

JULY. Chris talks to KITCHEN GARDEN magazine for a feature to be published in Aug 2009.

JUNE. Chris makes time to get in the sudio and start a new series of allotment paintings, as well as working on his plot!

MARCH 28th & 29th. ART MARCH, Open Studio weekend aa Woodend Mill. This annual event sees it's 4th year, and is not to be missed for any art lover. Over 30 artists will be opening their doors that weekend and usually draws large crowds in their hundreds. See www.woodendartists.co.uk for more info.

MARCH. Chris will be exhibiting some of his paintings at MUSA art cafe in Aberdeen. Until May 9th

FEB 18th.. Chris has become a father for the first time, to his Son Drew Stanley! So Chris will be taking a short break from painting and taking up the art of changing nappies! Happy days.

JAN. Chris teams up with MEN MATTER formerly Manchester Million to help raise awareness for Male Cancers, raising funds for Christie Hospital. Chris was treated there in 2001 & 2003 for Testicular Cancer.

2008.....
NOV. 'Well! What a busy year it has been'. Chris has expanded his studio with a new 'Print' room!
 He attended a course in Oct on Lino Printing, and has also been to other demo's and workshops about
various printing methods. So watch this space in 2009 there will be a complete new medium of work being
produced.

OCT. Gardeners World have invited Chris down to London to film for the last show of the season.
This will take place on Joe Swift's allotment as a Christmas party! Ho Ho..

SEPT. BBC North West Tonight came to film for a small feature, to be broadcasted on Sept 11th.

SEPT. Chris has a photo shoot with Country Living Magazine, to be published in 2009.

JULY. Chris talkes to Heather Stott on BBC Radio Manchester.

JULY. Chris gets a full page feature in the Mancheter Evening News. Click HERE to read all about it!

JULY. Holmfirth Artweek sees Chris exhibiting a selection of his work at Holme Valley Warehouse. This will be part of the fringe event and previews on Thurs 3rd JULY 7pm. Chris has a perminent display at this venue.

JUNE. Gardeners World has been a huge success, and having TV exposure has made Chris's work National! He has been overwhelmed by the requests for his work from as far as France, and has sold to every corner of the UK! Chris has also been asked by a number of schools around the country to use his work for their GCSE studies. Chris will be featured in the G/World magazine in 2009!

BBC GARDENERS WORLD...has been back to finish the filming on the allotment

ART MARCH 3. 'Open Studios' Is the first event of 2008 for Woodend Artists and is to be held on the 29th & 30th March.

FEB 20th 2008. Chris starts the filming for BBC Gardeners World, for a special program on Allotments!

2007......

NOVEMBER 07 'HOST'. Huddersfield open studio trail. Chris is exhibiting at Holme Valley Warehouse for this event.

OCTOBER 07.. Chris will be traveling around France again for 4 weeks.

SEPT 07..HARROGATE Autumn Flower show 2007.14-16 September is held at the Great Yorkshire showground, and Chris will be exhibiting his Allotment paintings

RIPPLE 5. An anual event featuring more than 30 artists ant Marsden Mechanincs Hall, West Yorks.
